On the 24th June 2012 at Caribbean Community Centre, TTK held a barbecue event aiming at the promotion of the group as well as raising the fund following an aborted fundraising event which was scheduled in July 2012 due to the lack of finance.

Compare with the fundraising event, barbecue activity was less costly and received donations from certain members and other well-wishes

The big issue which was noted during the event was that England was playing at Euro 12. Thus, many stayed to watch the football match and attend late the event.

However, the feedback received after the event suggests that the local community has become aware of the organisation. Some people who are not members have started donating by paying directly into the organisation account.

Moreover, the event encountered some organisational matters but some dedicated members mounted the challenge. At the end of the night, a lost was minimal. One argued that the event was a success considering the short time input for preparation. This kind of project should be well prepared in the future to amass considerable revenue.
